Additional cameras can be positioned to optimize lane coverage if required. The matches gained from the video feed of the cameras can be sent wirelessly to chase and intercept vehicles positioned downstream. The intercept team will be automatically reading and comparing the plates to a hot list and, will have ample time to stop suspected vehicles
Alternatively, the plate data can also be transmitted to a remote system installed at the police department where it is instantly compared to any number of databases. Dispatchers can then alert patrol officers by radio to initiate intercepts.
